The Ten Blessings Farting/ Flatulating Bring To Your Home

BY CHIAMAKA OSUIGWE

According to the Oxford Learners Dictionary, Farting or Flatulating, or “mess” as we call it in Nigerian parlance, is “emitting digestive gases from the anus, especially with accompanying sound and smell”. Unfortunately, many find it unpleasant, impolite, embarrassing, and anti-social behaviour; however, its benefits outweigh every negative feeling it often attracts. Let’s see 7 benefits family members can get from Farting or Flatulating:

  1. Farting has the potential to create a humorous atmosphere in the home, particularly if done deliberately. As a result, family members jokingly taunt the perpetrator while enjoying a good laugh. Laughter they say, is good medicine.
  2. Farting in the home with rhythmic sound fosters unity because it creates bonding chemistry among members.
  3. Farting increases transparency since it creates an atmosphere where members are free to share anything, knowing that they are loved and accepted.
  4. Farting at home in the presence of loved ones increases one’s desire to be himself or herself, being assured that such a natural act and art will not reduce respect in the eyes of loved ones.
  5. Normal farting is a testament to good health because there are patients in the hospital whose doctors are waiting for them to fart before certain drugs are administered to them, or allowed to go home after they fart, being signs that they are responding to medications
  6. Farting also helps loved ones to know what their body accepts and what it rejects.
  7. Open farting between a man and his wife creates humour, openness, and nakedness in a marriage that cannot otherwise be achieved. Farting is one of the secrets of a lasting marital relationship. Spouses who neglect the tool of farting in enriching their relationship don’t know what they are missing.
  8. Deliberately farting with a loud sound on one another endear parents to the hearts of their children. Such acts and art bring the parents to the level of the children and consequently remove the cultural and psychological barriers that hinder friendship between parents and children.
  9. Farting reveals the naturalness of a human being functioning according to divine features
  10. When we fart with a loud sound, it makes our Creator smile at us, even though we can’t see Him.

Therefore, the next time you fart, be assured that God is smiling at you, it doesn’t matter who’s frowning! Smile at Him back in faith. Smile at yourself, because your fart means that you are alive and doing well, both naturally and health-wise! Thank God for the ability to fart, because the dead cannot fart!
