Nathaniel Akhigbe

Journalist, author, and publisher, he is an Alumni of Nigeria’s premium journalism school, the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Lagos, Nigeria.
Based in Lagos, his published articles in newspapers, magazines, and online mediums including The Sahara Reporters in the last decade count in thousands. He has experience reporting beats such as labour, politics, metro, crime, and investigative reporting, with now-defunct NEXT NEWSPAPER/234NEXT from where he cut his teeth as a reporter and BUSINESSDAY NEWSPAPER, West Africa’s leading business tabloid, where he was a pioneering member of the paper’s Sunday edition, BD SUNDAY until he resigned his appointment in late 2017 as a Senior Correspondent.
A PAN Africanists, he’s driven by an acute desire to make Africa a prosperous continent through agriculture and to use his talents to make jobs available for the continent’s teeming youths. To this end, he left his last employment to pioneer a media organisation. He currently serves as MD/CEO of Africa Agriculture Agenda (AAA), a subsidiary of The Surveillance Media Limited (TSML), a company he founded that was incorporated in 2018.
A lover and campaigner of leadership development at the secondary school level, he is the Chief Strategist of Oba Samuel Sunday Tolorunse Education Foundation (OSSTEF), headquarters in Kogi State, North Central, Nigeria; and the Convener of Pan Africa Senior Secondary Agriculture Debate (PASSSAD), an agricultural leadership initiative to inspire young Africans to take an active interest in agriculture.
A life and career coach, he is a strong advocate for a God-purpose-driven life as the only recipe for a truly satisfying living. He is a learner who is mentoring several people within and outside the media arena, including politics. A media consultant, a biographer, he is also the publisher of Africa’s first international journal in agriculture. He is the author of God’s Diamond Called Woman; Seven Reasons You Are Unmarred; When The Womb Is Closed; Resilient: An Inspiring Biography of a Nigerian Oba in the State of Kogi, etc. A pleasurable worker in his chosen endeavour, from his base in Nigeria, he is the Editor-In-Chief of a Tokyo based CorperNews24, an online news medium. He is a firm believer in female leadership development and an activist for gender equality.
